Wage and Eligibility Class


 

How to determine your wage or eligibility class if you are covered by the:

 

National Benefit Fund


If you work full-time, your benefit level is normally Wage Class I.

 

If you work part-time, you are:

  • Wage Class I — if you earn 100% of the minimum full-time wage
  • Wage Class II — if you earn at least 60% but less than 100% of the minimum full-time wage
  • Wage Class III — if you earn less than 60% of the minimum full-time wage

 

Greater New York Benefit Fund


  • If you work 35 or more hours per week you are in Eligibility Class I

  • If you work on average more than 60%, but less than 100%, of a full-time schedule (approximately 3 to 4 days per week), you are in Eligibility Class II

  • If you work more than 20% but less than 60% of a full-time schedule (more than 1, but less than 3 days per week), you are in Eligibility Class III.

 

Home Care Benefit Fund


There are no wage classes in the Home Care Benefit Fund. Generally, Home Care members are eligible for family coverage.
