Youth Mentoring Program

 

Eligibility Information

This benefit is available for the following funds:

  • National Benefit Fund
  • Greater NY Benefit Fund

The Youth Mentoring Program introduces high school and college-aged students to career opportunities in the healthcare industry through summer jobs and educational experiences. Students are paid to work in 1199SEIU institutions over the summer and also take classes in job skills, résumé building, art and writing.

Applications are available in the first week of April and must be returned by May 31.

 

Who Is Eligible?


The Youth Mentoring Program is provided through Labor Management Initiatives, Inc. The Program is for the high school and college-aged children of members who work in institutions that sponsor the program.
